JojoT

Privacy Policy

Last updated 14 August 2026

The short version. JojoT works without an account, and your progress pictures never leave your device. If you choose to sign in to use the Friends feature, your name, challenge and daily check-ins are stored on our server so the friends you approve can see them. We do not use analytics, advertising or trackers of any kind.

Without an account: everything stays on your device

You never need an account to use JojoT. Signed out, all of the following is written to your iPhone's private app storage, never leaves the device, and we cannot see it: your name, your challenge, your daily check-ins, water and steps, your progress pictures, and your settings. Deleting JojoT removes all of it, or erase it any time via You → Reset everything.

If you sign in for Friends

The Friends feature needs a server, so it needs an account. You sign in with Apple; we never see your password, and if you use Hide My Email we never see your email address either. Once signed in, we store:

Who can see it: only friends you have mutually accepted, and only while your "share" setting is on — this is enforced by the database itself, not just the interface. Your progress pictures are never uploaded, signed in or not.

Deleting your account: go to You → Account → Delete account. Your account and everything synced to our server are erased immediately and permanently. Data on your device stays until you reset it. No email, no waiting period.

Our server is provided by Supabase and located in the United States. See Supabase's privacy policy.

Camera and photo library

JojoT asks for camera access so you can take a daily progress picture, and for photo library access so you can choose an existing one instead. Images you capture are saved into the app's own storage on your device. They are not uploaded, not backed up to us, and not shared with anyone. You can decline both permissions and still use everything else in the app.

If you tap Share your day, JojoT builds an image on your device and hands it to iOS's share sheet. Where it goes from there is your choice, and is governed by whichever app you send it to.

Notifications

If you turn on Reminders, JojoT schedules a daily local notification on your device. Local notifications do not involve a server and send no data anywhere.

Subscriptions

JojoT requires a paid subscription. We never see or handle your payment details — Apple does. To know whether your subscription is active, we use RevenueCat, a subscription-management service.

Who What they receive
Apple Your purchase and payment information, under Apple's privacy policy. We receive no payment details from them.
RevenueCat A randomly generated app user ID, your purchase receipt, and basic device information such as iOS version and country. This is not linked to your name, and we do not send them your challenge data or your pictures. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

What we do not do

Children

JojoT is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Because your data lives on your device, you already hold it. You can view it in the app, change it in the app, and erase it in the app or by deleting JojoT. If you are in the EU, UK, California or another region with data protection rights and want to exercise them against anything we do hold — which is limited to the subscription records described above — email us and we will act on it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
